was the name we used for our Country music duo, we started at the Mirage restaurant in Praia da Luz which was ran by an American couple Don & Marie. They asked if we would play there for them, but as we were performing with "SARABAND DUO" at another venue close by, we decided to do something different for them so as they were from the U.S. A. we thought country music would be fun and also Don was an accomplished guitarist and was adept at vocal harmony, so he would join us performing some of the old chestnuts.

Sadly Saratoga is no longer. we had a lot of fun with this country music duo, at one time we would fill the plexus disco on a Tuesday night with eager line dancers where Sandie would teach some of the latest dances, we would get them straight from America from a friend of Don & Maries' and when they became easier to find on the internet we would use that to keep us updated.

Ray used to dance too, although not as nimble as Sandie he could manage a few couples dances and some slick footwork on a good night we had a good team drawn from local people, they were Portuguese, German, English and Dutch.
