We met Peter Alan a band leader from the 50s and formed a jazz trio with Pete on piano, Sandie vocals, Ray on trumpet and vocals.

Pete invited us to play for a Charity show featuring the life story and music of Cole Porter narrated by Bobbie Hutton. The guest of honour was Mrs Nesta Cox M: B: E: a resident of Praia da Luz and music teacher. We raised 180,000 escudos for local charities. |
"Saraband" duo began in Portugal together with what was to become a long association with the Hotel de Lagos ( now the Tivoli Lagos ) where we play cocktail music in the lounge bar & restaurant.(Sandie also has an ongoing exhibition of some of her paintings on display in the main lounge bar area.).Saraband duo are also in demand for dinner dances, we perform at functions for various golf clubs, the Local Masons, and at several business functions throughout the year. |
